The physicians and support team at Tuscany Surgical Center greatly value our patients and thank you for entrusting us with your care. To make your visit as easy and efficient as possible, please review the following information.
For your convenience, Tuscany Surgical Center offers pre-operative visits a day or two prior to your procedure. During the visit, you will complete your registration process and meet with a nurse who will review your health history, go over instructions on what to expect and how to prepare the morning before surgery and answer any questions. Please have your insurance information handy.
Day of Surgery
Notify your surgeon and TSC if on the day of your surgery you have an elevated temperature, cough, cold, vomiting, diarrhea or suspect you may be pregnant.
What to Bring
On the day of surgery, please bring the following with you to Tuscany Surgical Center:
- Insurance cards, photo identification
- Someone to drive you home
- Interpreter if you cannot read, speak English or use sign language
Please arrive at the time given by our admission staff. Please check-in at the registration desk to verify personal, escort and insurance information. Afterward, you will be taken to pre-op where the nurse will conduct a health interview and prepare you for surgery. Your anesthesiologist will meet you and answer any questions. During surgery your escort will stay in a waiting area and will be informed when you are ready for departure.
You will be discharged from the center as soon as you are deemed ready by your care team. Most patients are discharged one to four hours after surgery. It is normal for you to feel sleepy for the next 12 to 24 hours.
You and your escort will receive post-surgical care instructions. We ask that you follow these exactly as provided. A member of our team will call you during the days after your surgery to check on your recovery.
